dil·et·tante
(hear it!)
1: an admirer or lover of the arts
2 : a person having a superficial interest in an art or a branch of knowledge
Usage:
"I have already taken up far too much of your valuable time with my classical nattering, I dearly wish I could give you back this hour during which you so graciously indulged my dilettantism, but, as Plautus said, 'Factum est illud, fieri infectum non potest.' Done is done, it cannot be made undone." George W. Bush

...back in my day we had to walk 15 miles uphill both ways in the snow without a jacket just to see one of those newfangled computers, and now what do they do?! They comment on their own blogs! Whats wrong with todays society!...
