Comfort Wear

As i sit here, entirely engrossed in creating/writing my commentary on Titus 2, the most random thought popped into my mind, random, mind you, but true nonetheless:

Dress Slacks are the Most Comfortable Pants to Wear

thats it. they just are. i would trade dress slacks over a pair of jeans anyday. just think about it, a nice pair of slacks are light, roomy, flexible, hang off the waist just perfectly, comfortable (i.e. not bunching up or riding up), etc. they always feel stylish (with the right outfit i'll admit), and are great for any opportunity that you may face: going to church...eating lunch at CiCi's...playing billiards (a.k.a. pool)...sitting in a great big easy chair or oversize window-sill in the library to read a book...sitting at one's desk to email/IM or study...you name it, they work for it. I've even pushed cars out of the mud in 'em! granted, they directly required washing, but doesn't anything you wear?!?

a good pair of jeans from Old Navy (Boot-Cut, chemical-washed being my personal preference) can also be comfortable. but they're still made of a heavy fabric, and tend to bunch up in all the wrong places, just when you're trying to get comfortable. my biggest pet peeve is when i sit down on a hard floor (i.e. hanging out with the hotties in the hallway till the wee hours of the morning) and the gigantic seam that always exists in the middle of the back of jeans spontaneously digs into my tailbone, just about making it impossible to achieve comfortability (yes, i do believe that is a character quality, last time i checked).

yes, the right pair of jeans can help you relax, but in no way do they compare to the exquisite comfortability achieved by wearing the rare pair of perfect Dress Slacks. this shall be my eternal quest, from this time forth and forever more: to find that perfect pair of slacks, and exist happily in them for the rest of my life.
